German discussion for beginners

2011-KW40 Thema "Vergangenheit - Perfekt"

About 10 sentences in German Perfect Past Tense ("Perfekt"). Also try questions and negations.

2011-W35 Thema "dein Freund - mein Freund"

3-4 sentences for each case (N,G,D,A) with possessive pronouns (mein, deine, ihre...). So 12-16 sentences.

2011-W33 Thema: "In der Nähe..."

20/21 AUGUST 2011

Please write 3-5 sentences with prepositions for each German grammatical case (Genetiv, Dativ, Akkusativ) - (and of course except Nominativ) - so 9-15 sentences. Prepositions should be used with definite articles. Please use variety of prepositions and grammatical genders.

Main goal of this lesson is to learn gramatical cases, definite articles and prepositions.

If you want you may use only few concepts (or even one concept) for all sentences.

for example: aquarium, street, war

See links bellow for list of prepositions.

2011-W31 Thema: "Was sehe ich in dem Bild?"

06/07 AUGUST 2011

Please write 10-12 interrogative sentences concerning one chosen picture inspired by Billys teachnigs and adventures (art or photos: see links). Try to use as many as possible different question-words like: wer?, was?, wo?, wann?, etc. Also some sentences can be without question-word.

2011-W29 Thema: "Mein Lieblings-Charakter aus Kontaktberichte"

23/24 JULY 2011

Please prepare about 10 sentences describing chosen character. All must be written in Present Tense (German: Präsens). Even if person does not live any longer. It's for purpose to learn German Present Tense. Keep in mind, this is the first German meeting, so all the sentences must be very simple, like what person likes, how old he is, what color or shape of his eyes, skin, hairs ans so on... also where person lives, so sentences about person's race and homeplanet.

How to participate

We use Voxli voice chat room for meetings. Please note, that Voxli chat is free to use only while in beta. In case of problems with Voxli, meetings will be moved to IRC.

Since Voxli is voice chat, please prepare your microphone with speakers. Best option is headset with mic and try to avoid standalone speakers with mic.
